Kidspace - The Internet Public Library: This is the Internet Public Library and is an excellent resource for students and parents alike.
Parent Central: Sponsored by the Toronto Star, this site offers a wealth of information for parents on a wide range of topics including education and community issues.
Media Awareness Network: Resources and support for everyone interested in media and information literacy for young people. An excellent site for teachers and parents.

The Toronto Star: An interesting site by the Toronto Star which lets you read the articles published in the present paper, and past papers.
The Globe and Mail: The site of the Globe and Mail which allows you to read articles from the paper.

The Ontario Ministry of Education and Training: The Official site of the Ontario Ministry of Education and Training with links to a variety of educational programs and initiatives.
People for Education: People for Education is dedicated to the ideal of a fully publicly-funded education system that guarantees every child access to the education that meets their needs and equips them to contribute to and participate as citizens in a civil society.
Quiz Hub: Kids Hub is a noncommercial educational portal for elementary and middle school students. It features free online interactive learning games, puzzles, and quizzes.
High School Ace: The High School Hub is a noncommercial learning portal to free online educational resources for high school students. It features subject guides for English, foreign languages, mathematics, science, and social studies.
EdSelect: This is an excellent starting point for research in a wide range of areas and included a link to the Canadian Encyclopedia.
Toronto Public Library's Science Net: This is an excellent site for students and is sponsored by Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd.
How Stuff Works: This site shows students how a variety of things work - from computers to small engines. It is written is simple, straightforward language that is easy to follow.
Funbrain: An interactive site which allows you to play games, or to take your teacher's quiz.
Cut the Knot: Another interactive site which allows you to play games.
Homework Help.com: A site for students which helps with homework of all forms, including study tips.
Algebrahelp.com: A site for students which helps with algebra problems.
Polyhedron: A geometry program for our grade 8 students
School For Champions: Excellent tips on how to succeed in school.
A Plus Math: An excellent site with math games and drills for all grades.
Math Online: This is a collection of math web sites picked by teachers and sorted according to the math learning expectations in the new provincial curriculum.
AAAMath: A site for students which helps a variety of math skills including very practical drills.
Making My Way: This is an outstanding link for Peel Middle School students offering an array of information on careers, apprenticeships, high school courses and college and university education. This is a "must visit" website.
The Ontario School Counsellors' Association: The Official site of the Guidance Counselling Network of Ontario with lots of links for students and parents. Here is a direct link to the student resources page.
The Ontario School Counsellors' Association - Youth Issues Section: This is another resource page for students and parents on a wide variety of issues including: drug prevention, bullying, managing behaviour and eating disorders. Parents should check out this excellent set of resources.
Careermatters c/o TVOntario: This is an excellent site for students in grade 8 to begin exploring secondary school courses and a variety of career paths. It is new and exceptionally well done.
YouthPath: Step ahead with YouthPath - the exclusive source for information about programs and services available for youth at the community level and beyond. YouthPath also serves employers of youth and youth service providers.
Career Cruising: This is an exceptional career education site and one that is used by all grade 8 students in their careers project. It requires a username and password that is supplied to all students at Erin Mills under our licensing agreement.
Teaching and Learning About Canadian History: This is an excellent site for students researching the history of Canada. It has many interesting and informative links for research and information.
