Welcome to Erin Mills Middle School
We are a professional learning community and believe that every student can be successful. On a daily basis we live out our clearly defined Mission, Vision, Values and Collective Commitments statements.
The educating of a student takes the involvement of everyone - the parents/guardians, teachers and administration all working together as a team with the focus on each individual student.
We have created many support systems that when accessed and implemented by each student, educational growth will occur.
Some of the highlights of our support programs include: 20 Days of Purpose; Goal setting; clearly stated Behaviour expectations; clearly stated Material/Equipment expectations; FISH! for schools program – including the FISH! Philosophy (Be There, Choose Your Attitude, Make Their Day and Play); Accelerator Reading Program and the Erin Mills Code of Conduct. At Erin Mills we are also proud of the numerous extra-curricular programs that are provided by our staff members. All students are encouraged to listen carefully to the morning announcements for more details about how and when to access these various clubs and sports activities.
Recognition of personal best is a goal at Erin Mills. Last year we implemented a new student recognition program and I want to personally encourage each student to work hard and to always remember to do their personal best.
